Teacher of English

Our client, a prestigious independent school based in Scotland is looking for a Teacher of English for this upcoming academic year.

The school is an HMC, co-educational day school, with roughly 1500 pupils in attendance. The school follows the Scottish curriculum and achieves impressive results, whilst emphasising other learning experiences. They have outstanding facilities for sport, drama and DT. Recently £25 million was invested in the school, which now offers 120 clubs. The school has a strong sense of identity and is based in a beautiful urban location, in 'a wraparound city school'.

We are looking for an English Teacher with a strong academic background to join from September 2020. The ability for the English Teacher to be able to teach up to Key Stage 5 is desired but it's not a necessity. The English department has modern and well-equipped classrooms.

We are looking for an English Teacher that will promote the school values and participate in the culture of boarding life. Commitment to teaching, pastoral care and extracurricular activities is essential. The school has a high quality of teaching and extra-curricular work.

We are looking to shortlist for this post over the next week. Due to COVID-19, interviews will be held remotely over Zoom or an alternative video platform. Applications for this post are being handled by Hayley Logue at Connaught Education. To apply and arrange a time to speak, please send through a copy of your CV to hayley.logue@connaughteducation.com
