Who we are

Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club are proud to compete in the Premier League and play at home in our spectacular 30,000+ seater American Express Community Stadium. Premier League football is the most watched sports league worldwide, with an annual audience of over 1 billion people, in which we are thrilled for our men’s first team to professionally compete.  We are equally excited and proud of our women’s first team who successfully compete in The FA Women’s Super League, the top tier of women’s football in England.

The job

We are looking for a pool of Matchday Stadium Assistants who would be available to work home matchdays and as and when required. You will be part of the stadium assistant team whose responsibility to ensure it is cleaned to the highest standards.

What does the day for a Matchday Stadium Assistant look like?

You will be tasked with deep cleans, assisting with the cleaning of public and staff areas, ensuring work carried out follows Health and Safety legislation and COSHH. If you have an eye for detail and enjoy working as part of a team, keep reading! Part of your role will also be to assist in the set-up of events and activities at the stadium. As we know the English weather is unpredictable – so time-to-time there will be tasks relating to weather issues to ensure the stadium is safe for all employees and visitors.

What can you expect?

If you are looking for an easy ride, this one might not be for you!  The work will be challenging, the environment will be fast paced, and we’ll have high expectations of you.  But we will give you everything you need to succeed (except for drive, determination and motivation – which you’ll need to bring with you!). You’ll work hard, but the great thing about football is that you’ll see the results.

What we need

All you need to be considered for this position is experience of working as part of a team, a proven track record of delivering high standards of work within a specific deadline and ideally an understanding of COSHH.

If you have experience of working in a large facility or carrying out cleaning tasks, this would be great, but is not a prerequisite.

The successful candidate must also be willing to undertake a basic DBS CRC (Criminal Background Check).

Our values

Values play a pivotal role in the success of the Club. Our values aren’t just a list of words we expect our people to learn, but a set of filters through which we deliver to each other, our fans, our partners and our sponsors – in fact, with anyone who interacts in anyway with our brand. Each year we hold the TEAM Brighton awards where peer to peer nominations are recorded. Those with the most nominations take away awards for their commitment to the TEAM Brighton value.

Our values are:

  • Treat People Well
  • Exceed Expectations
  • Aim High. Never Give Up
  • Act with Integrity
  • Make it Special

What’s in it for you?

In return for your hard work and commitment to us, you will receive a competitive reward package which will include, but not limited to:

  • A flexible working environment
  • Discounts at the Club’s superstore
  • Inclusion in the Club’s discretionary bonus scheme
