Who we are

Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club are proud to compete in the Premier League and play at home in our spectacular 30,000+ seater American Express Community Stadium. Our goal is to create legendary experiences for every guest or fan that enters our spectacular stadium and we do this with our dedicated and passionate team.  The Seagulls are committed to our supporters and continually strive to ensure that every point of engagement with fans is truly world-class including our fantastic matchday experience.

The job

We are looking for a pool of stewards who would be available to work home matchdays when required. Our stewards assist the Club in the effective, safe customer friendly management of matchday and events at the Stadium.

What does the day for a Matchday Safety Steward look like?

Your top priority would be to ensure that all our fans are in safe hands whilst visiting the American Express Community Stadium on a matchday. We take our customer service seriously and our fans are at the heart of everything we do.  With this in mind your day will be varied as you adapt to the fan’s needs.  You never know what a matchday might throw at you, so you will need to have the ability to work well under pressure.

What can you expect?

Although matchdays are a little different at the moment, there is still the excitement, adrenaline and anticipation from working a matchday at the Albion!  This is a fantastic, flexible opportunity for you to play your part and run with us.  The Albion are known for our culture and values leading the way, and the right people will need to fit into that.  You’ll work hard, but the great thing about football is that you’ll see the results.

What we need

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be 18 years and over. Don’t worry if you haven’t got experience or qualifications in security as we provide you with all the training you need prior to starting! This is a customer facing role so you will need to be able to deliver and maintain high levels of enthusiasm and customer service throughout your shift. You won’t be able to watch the match whilst working, so if you are currently a season ticket holder please be aware of this.

Our values

Values play a pivotal role in the success of the Club. Our values aren’t just a list of words we expect our people to learn, but a set of filters through which we deliver to each other, our fans, our partners and our sponsors – in fact, with anyone who interacts in anyway with our brand. Each year we hold the TEAM Brighton awards where peer to peer nominations are recorded. Those with the most nominations take away awards for their commitment to the TEAM Brighton value.

Our values are:

  • Treat People Well
  • Exceed Expectations
  • Aim High. Never Give Up
  • Act with Integrity
  • Make it Special

What’s in it for you?

In return for your hard work and commitment to us, you will receive a competitive reward package which will include, but not limited to:

  • A flexible working environment
  • Discounts at the Club’s superstore
  • Inclusion in the Club’s discretionary bonus scheme
