Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a large 2 form entry Primary School in the heart of Burnley who are hoping to employ a teaching assistant to work alongside pupils in Year 6. The role will entail supporting both year 6 class teacher, delivering intervention sessions with lower attaining & greater depth pupils & predominately prepping the children for their SATS in. The role is due to starting at the end of September and will be on a full-time basis for the full academic year. The majority of the work will be centred around maths, English & Science work. The Headteacher is looking for an experienced enthusiastic practitioner who has had experience working within year 6, SATS boosters & experience working with lower attaining pupils. The role will involve delivering planned Intervention sessions in maths & English in a morning and then general support in an afternoon across both year 6 classes. The role will stretch for the full year with the possibility of going onto a school contract depending on feedback/performance & availability.

I have spoken directly with the Headteacher who is very approachable and has strong links with other schools in Burnley and the surrounding areas. If you have experience as a general Teaching Assistant specifically working with children in KS2 we want to hear from you! All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
