Sales Administrator

Location: Head Office in Leamington Spa

Salary: £17,000 per annum

Contract Type: Temporary Contract (rolling monthly contract for approximately 3 months)

Our client is a specialist highway surveying company, providing a range of UKPMS and bespoke services to the UK and European markets including SCANNER, Visual Surveys, Skid Resistance assessments, Asset Video, Condition, and Inventory Surveys. With data critical to the effective management of highways and infrastructure assets, they are committed to providing both excellent service and unrivalled data quality.

This is an exciting time for the company as it looks to maximize its sales revenue and increase sales. Our client's Commercial Team are looking for someone to join the team and hit the ground running and assist in market research for the business as well as assisting with chasing purchase orders and cleansing the database.

About the Sales Administrator Role:

They require a motivated and experienced sales administrator to make direct contact with current and new customers to identify main points of contact, job titles, present surveys and services, service providers and to establish the contractual period.

You will build a data base for all local authorities throughout the United Kingdom with findings and highlight which local authorities are signed into a consortium for procurement.

You will take responsibility for the CRM’s account information and ensure it is up to date with correct contact details and other information found from cold calling all customers.

Sales Administrator Responsibilities:
  • Identify all government authorities’ points of contact and obtain email and telephone information
  • Build a data base of findings for all local authorities
  • Contact customers by phone or email to answer queries and obtain missing information for CRM
  • Maintain client records on the customer relationship manager (CRM)
  • Produce reports for the commercial manager
  • Communicate important information and feedback from customers internally to the commercial team
  • Ongoing use and maintenance of CRM
  • Obtain networks and purchase orders from customers directly
  • Chase outstanding purchase orders
  • Check data accuracy of orders, invoices, and customer survey requirements
  • Support the sales department with any other administrative tasks

Sales Administrator Requirements:
  • GCSE qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet software
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
  • A team player with a high level of dedication
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Must be detailed orientated
  • Proven work experience as a Sales administrator or Sales support agent
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in or supporting a sales team
  • Strong PC literate and proficient user of Microsoft packages
  • Experience of using databases

  • Certification in marketing, sales, or relevant field
  • Previous experience working in the highway surveying sector
  • Experience of using Zoho Database
