Are you looking for a new job?

Do you want to make a real and noticeable difference?

Can you remain calm in challenging circumstances?

We are pleased to be recruiting for Teachers to work in a PRU environment for pupils aged 11-16 as PRUs anticipate an increase in teaching staff to support referrals of pupils due to the return of the education setting after being out of the classroom for a number of months.

Pupils placed in a Pupil Referral Unit usually have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs. Most have had a disrupted school life and fall below the expected learning levels for children of their age nationally, so the school is actively seeking SEMH experienced Teachers, of multiple subject specialisms, to assist and nurture these pupils.

Your role as a Teacher would be to create lessons to meet the learners needs. This would include a curriculum based around academic and social progression. You would create lessons aimed to allow the young people to express themselves in a practical and easy way, as well as design tasks to help the young people succeed in their lives beyond the school with a key focus on independent living skills.

The ideal Teacher would be a person who has:
  • QTS
  • A passion about working with young people
  • Resilience and the ability to rise to a challenge
  • Experience of workig with SEN/SEMH pupils is preferred.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques such as Team Teach training

You will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.

Working through Teaching Personnel allows for many benefits including:
  • A team of consultants to look for roles for you and support you in the ones you find
  • A competitive wage of £120 per day with options to rise
  • Access to a wide variety of CPD opportunities to fit the needs of the schools in this current climate
  • Flexibility on your working conditions

If you believe you are the perfect Teacher and can support and inspire these young people, please send your updated CV today.
