Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity from October 2020? Do you have experience working alongside the KS2 national Curriculum? Have you provided 1:1 and group support in the build up to assessments? And lastly are you local or able to commute to Bamber Bridge in Preston?

I am currently working with a primary school located in the Village of Bamber Bridge; this school often requires TA support within KS2 across multiple year groups, especially in the build up to SAT's. .

They require a passionate and qualified Teaching Assistant to provide cover from October 2020 on an Adhoc basis. This is a part time role that will require you to work across years 4,5 and 6 as and when needed by the school. Long term bookings will be available and will therefore require the candidate to be committed and loyal to supporting these pupils.

This position requires a Teaching Assistant with a creative and energetic approach, who embraces the individual character of pupils and provides a tailored approach to their learning. You must be able to take direction from the class teacher and show initiative while confirming to the class lesson plan.

In order to be successful you will need to have a UK teaching assistant qualification and be certified as either a Level 3 TA or higher. You must have a proven understanding of the KS2 curriculum.

  • Collaborate with classroom teacher to organise appropriate activities.
  • Liaise with other professionals such as Teacher's, TA, specialist support staff.
  • Work closely with other LSAs and support staff.
  • Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis.
  • Prepare and develop class displays.

Essential requirements:
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
  • TA qualified - Level 3 onwards.
