A central Government Department are seeking an experienced Public Lawyer to support a number of Policy teams.

Your new role
As a Grade 6 Lawyer, you will be responsible for supporting a number of policy and advisory teams within a task force set up to assist with Digital Innovation. You will be the sole Lawyer supporting the task force but will have access to Legal resources from the Government Legal Department. You will be responsible for advising on policy and regulation as well as reviewing and drafting amendments to policies. You will review primary legislation and be expected to instruct parliamentary council at times.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Lawyer or Barrister with considerable post qualified experience. You will have extensive experience in public law, specifically: property, telecoms and broadband and have knowledge of the electronics communications code. Experience of drafting policy and/or legislation within a public sector organisation is essential as is previous experience of property law within the public sector. CTC clearance is desirable but not essential. This position requires someone to start immediately.
