Teaching Assistant needed for support in Key Stage 1 - Sefton Primary School - Long Term Post

You will be working as an Key Stage 1 teaching assistant in a primary school based in Netherton. This primary school are looking for a teaching assistant with knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

You will be based in the schools Year 1 class working closely with the class teacher. As a teaching assistant you will provide support to the class teacher. You will support the class teacher with behaviour management and help with intervention groups around phonics work. This role is a long term position with a view to being made permanent in the summer of 2021.

In order to be successful in this role as a Key Stage 1 teaching assistant you must have experience as a teaching assistant in the last two years. Ideally you will have worked for 6 months as a teaching assistant in an Key Stage 1 class. Good knowledge of the curriculum is key and extra experience with phonics or intervention groups will be a bonus.

If you are successful in this role as a teaching assistant you will receive competitive rates of pay. You will earn between £63 and £70 per day. You will accrue holidays and have the opportunity to gain permanent employment in the summer of 2020. This is a full time job five days per week.
