Gekko are a full service field marketing and experiential agency working across retail, B2B and digital channels.

Gekko have a great opportunity to join their field based team as a Senior Retail Development Executive (RDE) working on behalf of a global consumer electronics brand, evolving the presence of their brand and product range in the retail channel.

Employed and managed by Gekko, you will be working directly with retail partners to take ownership of the sales uplift across your allocated stores, transforming the presence of the brand in the channel by delivering interactive and engaging training and coaching to store staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cascade knowledge and best practice techniques to store colleagues and any tactical representatives
  • Foster a strong team spirit through regular communication and support
  • Inspire and lead your team of RDEs
  • Develop store relationships at regional and store management level
  • Work closely with partners in the channel to take ownership of the sales uplift
  • Drive third party retail partners to strive for excellence in the customer experience for the brand
  • Maximise the visibility of the brand in store
  • Monitor and feedback to Gekko and the Client on sales and stock information

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Leadership skills gained from retail management level in a tech-based environment
  • An analytical approach to managing sales and targets
  • The ability to influence and build relationships at a senior level
  • Experience in delivering training
  • Ability to prioritise and work to timescales
  • A professional attitude and proactive approach to meeting set standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

This field based opportunity will require you to travel to retail stores within London, the South and some travel to Wales and the Midlands as required, a company car will be provided. Your typical working week will be Monday to Friday however some flexibility will be required during peak times. You will be employed on a monthly rolling contract. A full driving licence is required as this is a field based role.
