The customer service representative is a key member of our operations team and is the face of the business to our customers.  We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is happy to step people through issue resolution or talk them through signing up as a customer.  Our business has several different channels through which user contact can be made so we would someone who is familiar and comfortable with technology.  This position is a home-based role.

Customer Service Representative Duties

  • Prioritise and process customer queries and requests submitted by live chat or social media channels
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and resolve complaints quickly and patiently, including assistance of customers who may have usage questions
  • Maintain thorough and accurate customer service records
  • Keep confidential records and financial information private and secure
  • Learn how to use our internal technology system to deliver great customer care
  • Liaise with internal departments to get resolutions for issues
  • Work as part of the sales team to drive positive company sales results
  • Help customers register online and process their orders
  • Assist financial department with customers on security checks, accounting enquiries or flagged accounting issues raised by the customer
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve the user experience

Skills Required

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Organised & logical approach to handling customers’ issues/queries
  • Driven, independent worker
  • Comfortable working as part of a remote team
  • Technology savvy & keen to learn
