1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Bury

Your new school
A secondary school in Bury are currently recruiting a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant who will join a strong, supportive and dynamic teaching team. The school is welcoming and inclusive of all, creating an environment which encourages children to meet their full potential and develop their skills. You will be required to work on a full-time basis, 5 days per week.

Your new role
If successful, you will be working as a SEN Teaching Assistant. This will be on a 1:1 basis focusing on their classroom engagement and their general academic progression. You will need to have experience supporting children with Autism and behavioural as you will be using a variety of learning techniques. Lastly, you will need to have good communication skills as you will be regularly communicating with children, teachers and parents.

What you'll need to succeed
A passion for helping children to achieve their full potential is essential. In addition, previous experience of working with children ages 11-16 in an education or childcare environment is essential you will need a minimum of 2 months' work within the past 2 years. All candidates will either need to hold a current and valid DBS certificate registered with the update service or be willing to make an application for a new enhanced disclosure.
