Location: The posts are based at our Aylesbury offices but you will be required to travel across the Trust on a regular basis

We have Full Time placement opportunities available for a Interim Deputy Head of Business Intelligence available at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust providing the following:

Communication & relationships
  • Ability to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious BI analytics/performance management information.

  • Knowledge, training & experience
  • Specialist and in-depth knowledge of BI & PHM/NHS data and performance management regime and digital agenda based plus NHS experience (preferably in an acute setting).
  • A good understanding of national policy/strategies - BI, digital, PHM.
  • Extensive management experience and delivery in a BI team.

  • Analytical/judgement
  • Ability proactively complex facts or situations requiring analysis, interpretation, comparison of a range of options.

  • Planning & organisation
  • Support the development of development of the BI strategy and all relevant policies/procedures. Develop project/work plans and responsible for performance management of BI team.

  • Resources
  • Responsible for the line management and associated budgets.

  • R&D
  • Support R&D initiatives as part of adopting an innovative approach to BI development.

  • BHT is currently undertaking an organisational review of its IM&T services. The review has already identified the need to substantially enhance the capacity, capability and leadership of its BI service in advance of a formal consultation process and the approval of a final organisational structure (including a number of new substantive posts).

    A number of posts are required in the interim to support the on-going development and delivery of high quality business intelligence and analytics to inform the decision making ability of clinicians, staff and managers at all levels of the organisation as they manage the complex challenges presented by COVID-19, service recovery and ICP/ICP developments.
