A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Governance & Office Manager to join one of Badenoch & Clark's leading public sector TMO clients in a temporary assignment for the next three months.

This is a full time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and our client is based in East London. You will have a strong HR background and ideally be experienced in dealing with boards and councillors and have sound knowledge of performance management. Other key aspects of this role include:

* Providing an efficient administrative and support service to the Board and wider Management Team.
* Developing and implementing strategies to continuously improve the services delivered by the TMO.
* Ensuring that the organisation complies with all statutory and legislative requirements and best practice with regard to governance issues.
* Working with the Board and wider Management Team to develop an effective communications strategy and lead on the approach to resident engagement that maximises involvement across the TMO's managed estates.
* Being responsible for HR administration and arranging training/briefing sessions, coaching and development in conjunction with management team colleagues.
* Developing and leading on projects and service initiatives for the Board and wider Management Team as appropriate.
* Ensure effective administration of HR functions including record keeping and liaison with the organisation's HR adviser, the prompt management of sickness and absenteeism issues and management of governance and disciplinary hearings ensuring appropriate action is taken within prescribed timescales.
* Establishing and maintaining the performance management framework, working with the wider Management Team and Board to ensure effective internal performance management processes are in place and being carried out, as well as providing/reviewing key performance indicators and producing associated reports.

Previous experience of working in a similar managerial role would be ideal, as would having worked for a small TMO-type organisation, but this is not essential. You must be independent minded and available to interview in week commencing Monday 28th September as our client is keen to move quickly to replace a member of staff who is leaving shortly.
