Working within the Health and Social Care industries remains one of the most important and rewarding career paths a young person can take. Inspirational teachers within this subject area are highly valued and Activate Learning are looking for Health & Social Care teachers to join our teams across each of our Surrey based Colleges.

These are excellent opportunities for a teachers with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. Our posts will be predominantly to teach Health & Social Care Level 2 & 3. Prior knowledge and understanding of the new BTEC framework and be able to deliver this confidently to our students would be beneficial and we welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as candidates applying direct from industry on a full-time and part-time basis.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

Ideally, you will have industry experience with an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree. Whilst we would prefer applications from qualified teachers who hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we would consider applications from unqualified applicants, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification. Unqualified candidates would start at a lower salary point and this could be discussed at interview, if successfully shortlisted.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
