The post holder is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer for the delivery of the national access standards related to planned care (i.e. Referral to Treatment Times, Diagnostic Waiting Times standards), performance reporting and assurance of delivery for all national standards and Trust-wide capacity planning to support delivery of timely care.

Working to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, you will support and manage the oversight of the delivery of the Trust’s performance goals through the development of the performance management and reporting frameworks to enable regulatory, contractual duties and strategic priorities to be met.

Day to day the post holder will:
  • Hold Care Groups to account for the delivery of access targets, both routinely, but also in the context of organisational performance escalation.
  • Be responsible for the provision of performance reports to the Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Care Groups, Elective Care Performance groups and Operational and Performance Group on a routine and an exceptional basis, continually refining and developing the reports, and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within them, to meet the developing needs of the Trust.
  • Oversee Referral to Treatment and Diagnostic performance meetings, ensuring adherence with national guidance and local Standard Operating Procedures and data quality standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure that consistent and robust waiting list systems and processes are in place across the Trust, and that waiting lists and times are actively and appropriately managed through standardised admin and clerical processes.
  • Complete the overall production and analysis of extremely complex statistical data and information relating to the Trust’s current, historic and predicted future performance.
  • Hold responsibility for ensuring the analysis of the information and its significance is clearly understood by all relevant parties.
  • Ensure that all information that is used for measuring performance is accurate and reflective of performance and meets national / local requirements.
