We’re strengthening our offering to reflect this, which will craft the business up to be a market leader in the provision of ‘at retirement’ whole-of-wealth advice for the mass affluent market.

As part of our evolution, we’re looking for a Regulatory Lead which will be pivotal to the success of the business going forward. We’re looking for an experienced, high-impact, customer-focused specialist who can join the team and waste no time to help drive our ambitious plans.

This new and autonomous oversight role will be tasked with helping us strike the balance between risk, regulation, being modern and being innovative â€" a senior position someone can really mould around themselves. This person will be the lead consultant on process, guidance and customer journey across many parts of AFA and Aviva UK and report directly in to the AFA MD.

The role’s duties & responsibilities:
  • Interpreting and developing our suitability of advice and sales guidelines through use of MI and in collaboration with multiple teams, ensuring our guidelines are fit for purpose and striking the right balance between risk management and good customer outcomes and experience
  • Significantly influencing in risk and governance forums, including T&C, advice improvement and conduct risk areas
  • Reviewing conduct risk MI to understand trends and mitigate issues, ensuring FCA responses are provided and accurate
  • Keeping up to date with FCA and industry/regulation changes to formulate a view and understand impacts upon AFA, making a case for mandatory change where necessary
  • Improving advice quality metrics and producing the right customer outcomes across the AFA business
  • Carrying out competitor analysis/benchmarking â€" finding opportunities to adapt our AFA proposition and journey to be competitive


Skills & experiences required:
  • Commanding knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment and experience translating that into effective guidance, strategy and process
  • Be an expert in DB, Wealth and ER advice
  • Natural interest in what the market and our competitors to focus on having the right products and services to support our strategy combined with outstanding customer experience
  • Qualifications/Diplomas in DB, ER, Level 4
