Team Profile:
As part of the HR Products group, the EMEA Employee Tax and International Mobility team provides specific subject matter expertise on all international relocation and employment tax related matters. The role is responsible for a team of five; two supporting employment taxes, two supporting International Services and one supporting immigration.

Primary Responsibilities:

Employment and Employee Tax
  • Oversee provision of tax analysis/advice to the HR Business Partners and business units associated with international moves/issues and employment tax compliance
  • Working with Compliance, Corporate Tax and Legal to manage and regularise cross border mobility situations and ensure Firm compliance in the fields of income tax and social security reporting/withholding where cross-border and multi-state working issues arise
  • Lead UK and EMEA tax compliance process for international assignees
  • Provide tax advisory support to UK expatriate payroll function and UK domestic payroll
  • Responsibility for submission of statutory annual tax filing including, P11D preparation, PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA). Short Term Business Visitor (STBV), Form 42
  • Lead EMEA year-end compensation processes for cash bonus stock unit conversion and deferred cash distribution sourcing and tax withholding, and PRIME


International Services and Immigration
  • Oversee delivery of the assignment lifecycle for relocating employees by the International Services and HR Service Centre team responsible for the administration of all relocation matters
  • Subject matter expert and provision of mobility solutions support and advice to HR Business Partners and business units as required.
  • Regional lead for mobility projects, including policy reviews and mobility system enhancements
  • Manage all EMEA relocation and immigration vendor relationships, including review of service delivery and recommendations for savings/trends
  • Responsibility for Firm's Immigration Sponsor License and compliance
  • Subject matter expert for immigration and management of escalated/complex immigration cases
  • Develop strong working relationships with teams including Payroll, Corporate Tax, Risk, Finance and Employment Legal to ensure mobility and tax compliance requirements are adhered to
  • Support the education and training of HR teams and internal stakeholders across the region to promote the understanding of Tax, Mobility and Immigration policies and processes
  • Keep informed and up to date with new regulations and developments in employment tax, immigration and mobility market trends and share this knowledge with the wider team



Skills required:
  • Good understanding of UK, US and EMEA personal tax principles
  • Preferably CTA qualified or equivalent
  • Established global mobility and immigration experience
  • Possess supervisory experience and experience working with remote or cross-functional teams
  • Pro-active and has the ability to start contributing significantly to the team in short order
  • Service/client orientated
  • Strong analytical and data skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong commercial skills.

  • Strong vendor management experience
