SEN Teaching Assistant

LT Support is working with a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19 who are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to jin them initially on a temporary long term basis with the potential for the roles to go permanent.

The successful candidates will be working with students with SLD, ASD or Complex needs with their level of education from p-levels to NC1.

The school is situated in 13 acres of parkland just a few hundred metres from the sandy beaches of Broadstairs. They seek to meet the needs of children and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties with associated behaviours that may be challenging. The school have achieved national recognition for their developments in Communication and Behaviour Management.

For this post we are looking for candidates who are mature, warm, creative and open to learning with a patient and caring attitude to deal sensitively with vulnerable children.

Using your experience of working with children and young people with Additional Educational Needs and Challenging Behaviour, you will work alongside colleagues to support a group of students in a classroom setting.

Awareness of the needs of, and experience of working with children and young people with Learning Difficulties, Autism and Challenging Behaviour will be a distinct advantage.

Applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

- Experience working with SEN Students

- Full time availability

- Enhanced DBS (update service or happy to apply for new DBS)
