Teaching Personnel are working with a Lancaster based school who are seeking two Learning Support Assistants after the October half term.

The school is smaller than average and caters specifically for KS3 / 4 pupils who have additional needs including SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and challenging behaviours. The school are looking to appoint two, long term, hard working, empathetic and resilient candidates to join their growing team.

Many of the students in this school display challenging behaviours, on occasion, even violent behaviours therefore, candidates must have strong behaviour / classroom management skills, be confident in their ability to de-escalate challenging situations and be willing to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils.

The role will be full time, school hours are 8.45am - 3.15pm Monday - Friday and you will be booked until Easter as a minimum, although it does have the potential to become permanent role.

You must be experienced in working with pupils who can be difficult in their behaviours, be compassionate towards the needs of pupils who have additional needs and, be understanding and empathetic.

The pay for the role will be £65 - 75 per day and you'll be paid on a weekly basis!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
