A Primary school we work closely with in Darlington have come to Teaching Personnel in search of a full time Year 6 Teacher for initially 1 term (starting from November 2020).

The local Primary School has had an unexpected Teacher absence in Year 6 and are looking to full this with a confident and experienced Teacher starting after the October half-term break. This is a 2-form entry Primary School with 1 other Year 6 Teacher and as such planning is done collaboratively in upper KS2.

The school are looking for a Year 6 Teacher who has taught in Year 6 within the last 12 months and who is highly knowledgeable of the Year 6 curriculum. Due to the lockdown the school have now completed all base line assessments and majority of the class you will be teaching in are 'working towards' the National Expectations for the KS2 SATs in 2021.

Location- Darlington (DL2)

Start date â€" November 2020

Pay - GBP100 - GBP140 per day (depending on experience)

Long-term â€" Until February half-term with the possibility to continue until July 2021

Ofsted graded GOOD

This role would involve settling in and immediately beginning preparation ahead of the KS2 SATs which are expected to run as normal next year. Ideally the candidate would be a teacher with experience in preparing for and administering KS2 SATs, with in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a track record of raising attainment.
