Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a specialist SEN Teacher in a consistently outstanding primary school in Bellingham. The school caters for children from ages 5-11 and has a purpose-built teaching and learning environment with designated classrooms for pupils with autism, severe learning difficulties and profound & multiple learning difficulties. At this time of year, there is also a high demand for day-to-day teachers, so if you are available 3 days or more per week between 8.30am and 4pm, then please do get in touch.

The school has fantastic facilities including a hydrotherapy/ swimming pool, specialist music, food technology, soft play, a beautiful sensory garden and sensory rooms. Then, in addition to six designated classes for pupils with autism, there is a sensory circuit and two autism bases providing individual rooms with minimal distraction for an optimum learning environment. There is also a great resource base for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties where, for example, pupils can work on MOVE program objectives.

In order to be considered:

- SEN experience - working with SEN students
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Provide 2 references
- Willing to complete a DBS or have a DBS which is already on the update service

In return:

- £120-160 per day, depending on experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
