We are looking for a temporary Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Assistant who is immediately available to support our DUA controls team for 3 months. You will be working from home for the duration of this contract.

In this role you will assist with the oversight of the underwriting controls for our DUA business. You will need to:
  • Ensure that the required standards and controls are executed.
  • Assist with the management and administration of Underwriting Authorities.
  • Track, monitor and report on Underwriting Reviews, authority breaches, exception reports, policy reformation etc. so that reports and information is timely, accurate and effective.
  • Assist with the Coordination and management of both internal and external Underwriting Audits
  • Ensure that there is an effective process in place for recording and monitoring third party audits and reviews and that this is maintained and produces appropriate and efficient reporting.
  • Organise and manage the Audit activity for Delegated Authorities for BI Specialty & BI Small business. This is to include maintaining the central Coverholder audit schedule, audit panel including annual review, service agreements in place, disseminating any pre-audit material and keeping an audit record updated on Filenet recommendations. This role does not manage others.
  • Undertake the due diligence required and co-ordinate other stakeholders for Coverholders, and Binders in accordance with the current Delegated Authority Control Framework.
  • Update and maintain work queues including Lloyds Atlas to ensure there is an effective and fully operative management workflow process in place for all new and renewals of Coverholders including post approval changes.
  • Maintain central Coverholder records. Prepares and maintains various management reports as required. Provides continuous input to system improvement requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A Level education required.
  • Relevant experience in handling delegated authority business required.
  • Insurance knowledge required.

Additional Preferred Education, Work Experience, and Knowledge
  • Relevant experience working in an Insurance Company or Lloyds Syndicate preferred.
  • ACII or part qualified preferred.
