Role: Minibus Driver

Employment: Temp to Perm

Location: Upton, Northampton

Remuneration: Highly competitive rate + overtime available

BPS partner with a highly established global private schools’ group operating out of 10 countries. One of their schools in Upton, Northampton are seeking a Minibus driver with PSV D1 driving and Working Time Directive experience. Reporting to the Transport Coordinator, this role is responsible for the smooth and continuous running of the Home to School (H2S) operation, working with the operations team to ensure pupils are timely and safely brought to the school and returned their designated drop off locations during term time.

Minibus driver main duties:
  • Compliance of current legislation and vehicle licensing law and requirements - E.U Drivers’ Hours, Driver licencing, W.T.D, daily pre drive and defect reports
  • Drive various routes in the area set out by the planning team
  • Ensure the safety of all passengers
  • Ensure vehicles are at a high standard for vehicle safety and cleanliness
  • Reporting of hazards and defects on equipment and vehicles to the operations team
  • Ensuring all paperwork (daily pre drive, defect, and time sheets) are completed

Minibus driver Requirements:
  • At least 21 years old (due to licence requirements).
  • Held a full manual British driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Hold a minimum D1 PSV category with not more than 3 points.
  • Hold a current Driver CPC qualification card and a Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Completed DBS check is an advantage for this role.
