Patient Safety Manager

Location: Hull

Temporary: 3 months potentially longer

Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week across Monday - Friday

Salary: Up to£17.50 paye holiday inclusive per hour OR up to £20.50 umbrella per hour


Our Healthcare client based in Hull are currently hiring for a Patient Safety Manager to join their team, with the role involving covering Patient Safety Managerial duties. The position is expected to be for 3 months, potentially longer.

Duties will consist of:
  • Working as part of the dynamic Patient Safety and Governance Team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Trust to maximise patient safety across services
  • Working closely with the corporate nursing, allied health and social care directorate, supporting the investigation of patient safety incidents which have occurred across the Trust
  • Establishing what can be learned and how services can be improved to prevent future incidents
  • Liaising with patients/families and carers as appropriate
  • Analysing patient safety data, making recommendations for organisational learning/changes to practice/polices as appropriate
  • Working within the governance team and with the Practice Development Team you will be able to influence and inform changes to really make a difference in the quality of care provision for our patients and service users

Required Skills
  • Experience working as a Patient Safety Manager within the NHS
  • Strong working knowledge of Datix
  • Working knowledge of SI (Serious Incident Framework), and SEA's (Significant Event Analysis) - Beneficial
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Strong IT usage including the usage of MS applications (outlook, excel, word)
  • Ability to proofread, format and edit documents
