Role- Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Sector- Secondary

Location- South Bristol

Salary- £60- £65 per day

Kick start your career as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a lovely south Bristol secondary school. This will be based in the schools SEN department with a supportive team. Teaching Personnel have been asked to find an enthusiastic candidate that wants to work in the education sector.

I am recruiting for permanent SEN Teaching Assistant who have an ambition for supporting children and young adults with Special Educational Needs. The school is a dynamic and positive environment to be in, both for the students and members of staff.

This school caters for pupils who have SEN pupils that may obtain Severe Learning Difficulties/Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The Base helps the pupils learn to there full potential, whilst gaining the right support to help them through there school journey.

A successful candidate will:
  • Working closely with pupils of SEN in groups or 1:1, maintaining and improving the social, emotional, physical and learning needs for pupils.
  • The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be able to tailor their approach in regards to communication, engagement, and distraction techniques to optimise learning and maximise comfort.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
