Primary school in Wigan seeking a KS1 Teacher to start after Half Term on a long term basis.

Your new company
This primary school is based in the Wigan area and due to an upcoming absence, the school has approached Hays seeking a KS1 Teacher to start after Half Term. Hays have worked with this school for a number of years and has always received excellent feedback from staff placed in the school, with comments made on the positive behaviour of pupils, as well as the welcoming approach from staff. With an extremely support SLT team, the school has an excellent reputation for staff development and further enhancing staff skill set.

Your new role
Joining the school after the October half term, you will be responsible for teaching a KS1 class, working closely with class teaching assistants to ensure work is accessible for all pupils and that all pupils are fully supported. You will be required to plan and prepare lessons, deliver these creating a positive learning environment and then mark and assess pupils work. A large part of this role will be the teaching of phonics, as well as preparation for pupils SATS exams. Finally, you will also be required to attend parents evenings and additional school functions.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have KS1 teaching experience. You will be available to start following the half term break and will also be required to commit to the role through until Easter 2021.
