Smart Teachers are recruiting for an experienced SEN Advisory Teacher to join a well-known and highly respected organisation based in Kingston.

The role

The SEN Advisory Teacher role is an exciting and varied one, giving you the opportunity to network with SLT and headteachers across the Kingston, Richmond and Twickenham areas. You will be working in an advisory capacity within schools, giving advice and guidance on best practice for their Primary and Secondary students. The SEN Advisory Teacher will be a confident, organised individual, comfortable with balancing your workload and the various cases you will be over seeing.

The Client is an extremely well known and well respected not for profit organisation with an outstanding OFSTED rating. They specialise in providing bespoke children’s social care and education support services to other local authorities, schools and partners in the education, health, social care and criminal justice sectors. They pride themselves on their strong team ethos, and their ability to create a collaborative environment, which enables their staff to grow their knowledge base and successfully complete their assignments.


To be considered for the SEN Advisory Teacher position, you will:
  • Be a qualified teacher with a PGCE
  • Have SEN/SEMH/Special School/SENCO/ experience
  • Be confident in acting in an advisory capacity around challenging behaviour in primary schools and disengagement/anxiety/refusal in secondary
  • Have experience in a senior or SEN role within a school or AP setting
  • Be extremely organised, a self-starter, motivated and passionate about inclusion
