Your new school
Hays Education are a market leader with established and exclusive partnerships with schools across Birmingham. We currently have a large range of support roles within secondary schools for behaviour specialists, teaching assistants and learning mentors.

The role
You will need to be available to start after half term and continue for the full school year. The roles will be based working with teaching staff to improve the attainment levels of students. You will be working closely with teachers to identify and support students who need extra support, and then working with them on a one to one and small group basis to improve areas of weakness. You will be working closely with lower and higher ability students. You will be supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons.

Required skills and qualifications
You will need to hold a BA Hons degree at 2:1 standard or above and/or have some experience of working with secondary school pupils and/or young people on either a paid, or voluntary basis. This could be in a youth club, school or tuition setting for example and will need to be in the last two years. You will possess excellent subject knowledge, be confident, professional and reliable with a strong desire to inspire and support children in reaching their potential.
