Principal Resourcing are currently recruiting for a number of exam invigilators on behalf of one of our partnerships schools based across North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong set of interpersonal skills, and will be able to display a confident demeanor when dealing with issues related to the organisation of examinations.

You will be required to:
  • Enforce strict exam policy, in line with the school; ensuring that all students are aware of the importance of adhering to this policy
  • Preparing the examination room in advance of any upcoming exams
  • Organising students to ensure that they are fully aware of their examination seat
  • Arranging examination papers, ensuring that individuals with SEN are catered for effectively
  • Maintaining control of the examination room e.g. ensuring that students are not talking, and are behaving in the manner expected of them, in line with school policy

Whilst previous experience working within a school is not imperative, the required applicant will have knowledge of the examination process. Previous experience working with young people is very desirable.

What you will require:
  • Have experience invigilation role with excellent organisational skills
  • A confident and positive approach to working with children and young people
  • The ability to be a proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement
  • An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to commit to the expectations of the role
  • A current DBS registered with the Update Service or a DBS done through Principal Resourcing
