Primary Supply Teacher in Doncaster

Your new company

Hays Education are a market leading recruitment agency who provide teaching support to a variety of Primary Schools across South Yorkshire. Due to high demand, we are currently looking to recruit Doncaster based teachers who can teach across KS1 and KS2.

These schools are focused on providing a well structured learning environment for the students, providing that all of these standards are maintained even when dealing with staff absences. As a result, they are working with Hays to recruit.

Your new role

Dependant on the needs of the school, you could be working on a day to day or long-term basis with pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2. You will be expected to plan and deliver innovative and exciting schemes of work in line with National Curriculum standards, as well as mark, assess and evaluate pupil progression. If you are working long-term in a school, you will also be expected to be involved with all aspects of school life including parents evenings and staff meetings.

What you'll need to succeed

You need to be a qualified teacher with QTS status, and have worked in a school for a minimum of 40 days in the last 2 years - references will be required. Due to the variety of schools we work with, you need to be flexible and understanding to the needs of the school, and have the ability to adapt your teaching style to the pupils you are working with. Strong behaviour management skills are a must, along with good communication skills, and a general enthusiasm for teaching. You need to be immediately available for work as the jobs we get are often covering an urgent or unforeseen absence. A valid, enhanced DBS is essential or the willingness to pay for a new one if not.

What you'll get in return

- The opportunity to work in a variety of different schools with students from a variety of different backgrounds
- Potential to complete NQT induction year (subject to schools availability to support)
- Potential of permanent work further down the line
- A dedicated Hays consultant who you can contact from 07:00 to 22:00, seven days a week
- Up to date Safeguarding training
