The City of Liverpool College are currently looking for bank lecturers to support on an ad hoc basis.

Temporary hours are available.

Bank Rate: £17.13ph

We are currently looking for lecturers to support in the School of Foundation English and Maths

The school of Foundation maths and English offers GCSE resits to 16-18 year old study program learners across multiple sites as well as stand-alone functional skills and GCSE qualifications for adults. We are a large department of 30+ staff catering for approximately 2500 enrolments. You would be working with learners of all ages and backgrounds up to L2 helping support them to achieve a qualification they may have previously been unsuccessful with, there is no L3 or A Level within the school.
  • No previous teaching experience is necessary, but it is desirable. As is experience delivering GCSE and functional skills courses and working with young adults on resit programs.
  • Good subject knowledge and understanding of GCSE and Functional skills course content. Knowledge of some of the common misconceptions of young people.
  • Good interpersonal skills. The ability to form good professional and working relationships with students quickly. Patience, positivity and resilience with a desire to do the best for learners at all times.
  • All Qualifications with a high level of English and Math content considered. Teaching qualifications desirable but would consider those working towards these.
