A secondary school on the outskirts of Wigan has approached Hays seeking a Teacher of Design & Technology

Your new company
Hays Education are a market leader in the North West and have exclusive relationships with a number of secondary schools across Wigan and the surrounding area. This secondary school has approached Hays seeking a Teacher of Design and Technology from January 2021 until the end of the academic year. The school is based on the outskirts of Wigan therefore easily accessible from all areas of the North West.

Your new role
In your new role you will join the school in January 2021 as a Teacher of D&T. You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of lessons and will be required to complete the marking and assessment of pupils work. You will be delivering lessons to mixed ability groups in a safe learning environment. As the role is long term you will be expected to attend additional school functions such as departmental meetings and parents evenings where required.

What you'll need to succeed
To successfully secure this role you must have QTS/QTLS or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) and have experience teaching in the UK curriculum across KS3 and KS4. You will have a strong presence in the classroom and be confident in your teaching ability. You will be able to differentiate accordingly and build positive relationships with your pupils. You must be available from January 2021 and able to commit to the role until the end of the academic year.
