Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School in North Leeds (LS17) who are looking for a caring and passionate teaching assistant who is experienced in supporting children who have special needs to work alongside 1:1 a little girl who has who has Autism.

A successful candidate will have the right attitude alongside some experience in order to meet the demands of the role supporting the the child in Year 2 who has severe Autism. You must be committed to building a trusting relationship with the pupil, so you can successfully encourage her to participate in learning. The school welcomes those who have experience working in SEN schools, with a pro-active and engaging personality.

The Head teacher is looking for someone who can understand the needs of the child and support their learning. This role would be starting full time from October 2020 and they wish to make a start on online interviews asap.

The successful candidate will be working full time hours 8:30am-3:30pm and must be available to work as soon as the children return to school (Government guidelines).

Candidates applying for this role MUST have previous experience working on a 1-2-1 basis with Autistic children in the last 12 months and this MUST be evidenced in your CV. If you do not have this experience your application will be rejected.

Pay from £65 - £85 per day depending on experience.
