We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker within a Locality Team for Portsmouth Council. Our client has a well-structured and organised team that are looking to grow their current staffing levels. The role has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases from management. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team.

Main duties include:
  • Producing Court Reports
  • Attending LAC Reviews, Care Conferences and Child Protection Meetings
  • Working with Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Section 47 Assessments
  • Core Assessments
  • Managing a varied caseload including; Child Protection, Looked After Children and Complex Children in Need
  • Managing a high caseload
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files
  • Supporting junior members of the team

To be successful:

For this role you will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with a HCPC Registration and educated to Degree Level IE: DIPSW, BA Hons, BSc SW, master's SW. The client requests that the worker will have significant Court Experience and can work with a full caseload. You will also need to have the Eligibility to Work in the UK with previous experience within a Children's Safeguarding Team as Senior Practitioner.
