Our client based in Bournemouth are looking for a temporary Purchaser to join the team. The main aspect of the role is the planning and negotiation of materials and equipment for the company. You will require good working knowledge of goods, services and sources to ensure on-time delivery and purchases at prices consistent with quality and quantity requirements.

Main responsibilities:
  • Selecting and ordering materials for production
  • Measure supplier performance
  • Processes orders, change orders, order acknowledgements, RMAs, and other transactions daily using ERP system.
  • Determines optimal methods of procurement in order to support organisation and customer requirements, such as direct purchase, bid and supply managed inventory.
  • Investigates and resolves invoicing /delivery issues with accounting and other departments.
  • Optimises our supplier base by negotiating better terms and conditions with existing suppliers
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Key skills:
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in purchasing materials position is desired
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking required.
  • Solid knowledge in ERP systems
  • Experience within continuous improvement
  • Problem Solving capabilities
  • Energetic and forward thinking
  • Previous experience within a similar role

This role is a temporary role, working 39.5 hours per week.
