An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Hairdressing and Barbering

Job Title: Lecturer in hairdressing and barbering

Hours: 10 hours per week / 52 weeks per year / Fixed term until 31/08/2021

Contract: Permanent

You will need to be able to transfer your passion for hairdressing and barbering to a group of learners to national standards enabling them to achieve qualifications in Level 3 hairdressing and barbering. Set work, assess and grade submissions in line with awarding body criteria and requirements. Own your course and look for opportunities to develop the learning experience and introduce additional learning interventions.

  • The right candidate must be highly skilled and quilified in both hairdressing and barbering.
  • No teaching qualification is required but you must be willing to work towards and gain relevant teaching qualifications which will be sponsored and supported by the college.
  • Experience of teaching preferably in beauty would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Commitment to the development of the sector.
  • Be flexible and self-motivated with a dedication to student achievement and quality.

As part of the interview process candidates will be expected to do a practical demonstration.
