FINANCE ROLE

DESCRIPTION: Part-time accounting and administrative position working for the office of an experienced entrepreneur and his family based in Oxfordshire and London.  The candidate will be self-employed, able to work from home and the role will initially require 10hrs per week with a view to increasing in time. 

ROLE OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will work closely with the family and other members of staff to:

  • create a Treasury function – this will entail setting up a banking payment process
  • making household payments
  • monitoring and reconciling invoices
  • setting and monitoring budget expenditure
  • creating VAT returns
  • monitoring all supplier costs
  • working across several projects
  • assisting with underwriting new investments

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • minimum of five years accounting  experience
  • AICB or equivalent qualification as minimum, but ideally ACA or CIMA qualified
  • Ability to take on responsibility for a varied and changing workload
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious work ethic
  • Proactive problem solver and strategic thinker
  • High level of accuracy
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Start date: as soon as possible

Salary: D.O.E (£15 - £20p.h)
