A Secondary school in Leeds is looking for a Humanities teacher of excellent quality to become part of their department in the new year on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching up to KS4 level and will be able to provide the pupils with the much needed consistency and support they have not experienced enough of this year.

Based in a mixed school, graded Good by OFSTED in 2018.

The teacher will be required to teach differentiated Humanities lessons to pupils at varying levels of learning ability across Key Stage 3-5. You will also be expected to assess and evaluate classwork and to report these back to senior members of staff in order to take appropriate action.

  • A UK recognised teaching qualification (BA QTS, BSc QTS, CERT ED, PGCE)
  • Experience teaching History to GCSE at secondary school (from KS3-KS5)
  • A positive attitude with a close attention to detail.
  • Create lesson plans and mark the student’s work, as well as working closely with students on a 'one to one’ basis.
  • Creating varied and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • You will also have proven strong behavioural management skills and attention to detail.

To be considered for this position you must have QTS and have experience teaching History across Key Stage 3 level. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers of both History and Geography are being considered for this role.
