Lecturer in Public Services

Part Time: 29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: £23,265 - £28,623 per annum (£18,611 - £22,899 pro rata)

We are seeking a skilful, dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our Public Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previous experience working in the emergency or armed services.

The successful candidate will be teaching from level 1 to level 4 so experience in teaching at this level is essential as is excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Central to the work you do will be enabling students to aspire beyond their initial intention and reach a potential that equips them to progress into work, higher education or apprenticeships.

The ideal candidate will:
  • have experience in effectively managing learners through their college programmes from enrolment to completion ensuring high grades and strong success
  • have up-to-date knowledge of the emergency or armed services, where previous employment in the services would be a distinct advantage
  • put Teaching, Learning and Assessment at the forefront of everything they do and will aspire to excellence in all areas of work
  • value learner experience and make that the motivation behind aspiring towards excellence
  • use ILT to enhance working practices as well as learning opportunities for learners
  • be highly effective at managing their time and meeting deadlines
  • be an effective team member.
