Network Public Sector are working with a Public Sector client to assist in their quest to bring on board experienced individuals who will provide professional expertise within the finance function, across the clients organisation for delivery of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution. Designated strategic lead within the Finance function to lead the design and implementation of the new ERP.

Successful applicants will be working to provide ERP Oracle Fusion Solution Implementation assistance, expertise and support alongside ERP Programme Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business SMEs and System Integrator with a view to achieving successful solution Go-Live. Areas of knowledge to cover GL, intercompany, TaxAR/ AC, AP, CM, Expenses, Projects and PBCS.

As such previous experience of Oracle Fusion Solution implementation is a prerequisite as is working within a Public Sector environment.

To be responsible for the delivery of the target operating model of the organisation and be responsible for the delivery of substantial financial savings in the definition and design of business process efficiencies within the Finance function(s).

A key role providing guidance and support to the Finance workstream programme team. The SME role will work within the ERP project team and will design and deliver appropriate project timelines to deliver an implemented solution within agreed timescales. The role will provide timely reporting to the Finance Leadership Team on project progress evidence progress against strategic objectives, risk and achievements.

The key responsibilities include but not be limited to:
  • Working with SI and the Business to finalise Solution Design
  • Support Business Owners and SMEs with reaching design decisions through appraisal of available options.
  • Coordinate Business activities that will play as an input towards the
  • Support production of the To Be process maps and Change Impact Assessments
  • Drive Data Reconciliation activities
  • Carry out support with SIT and UAT
  • Support production of Test Scripts
  • Support production of the training materials
  • Support Business Change activities
  • Provide input towards Cutover planning

Successful applicants will be expected to build effective working relationships with Directorates Management Teams across BCC. Liaise with partner organisations to deliver targeted change interventions and effective performance monitoring.

Also to develop strong partnerships (internally and externally) across all sectors (private, voluntary and public) to enhance the delivery of complex and new insight, design, programme and performance work; ensuring research, best practice, new national policy and partner insights providing an influence into direction of travel and future delivery models.

And to be responsible for keeping, Programme, Service Directors, and any external bodies/boards advised of any issues pertaining to the programme and performance within the function, preparing reports as required by the Programme Director.

Those in place will be the Strategic SME for the finance portfolio of the new ERP, providing comprehensive advice. To be instrumental in the completion of all relevant pre project documentation to inform strategic, implementation partners, and solution providers. Working as a key member in contributing to the evaluation and determination of system solution and Systems Integration partner(s) in relation to procurement activities for the programme.
