Empowering Education is recruiting for a SEND Teacher for a Secondary Academy in Birmingham. The academy caters for pupils from KS3-KS5, but most students operate at a lower learning level. The school has a diverse range of needs, from Autism, Non-Verbal, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, and other Complex Needs. The successful Teacher will cover all teaching duties in class and will ideally have had previous experience working in a secondary or SEND setting and with students with Autism and Complex Needs. This academy is interviewing now for this position to start In January.

In order to be considered for this role, the ICT Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
  • Ideally QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum
  • Previous experience of working in a SEND
  • Physical Intervention Training (desirable)
  • Team Teach trained (desirable)
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
