Principal Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of a large secondary academy in Leeds who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic History teacher from January.

This is a full-time role for the duration of the Spring term with the possibility of an extension. The successful candidate will be teaching History across KS3 to KS5, so prior experience teaching History to A Level is desirable. You will be responsible for the planning, preparation, marking and assessment involved in the role.

The academy strives to challenge its pupils, helping them achieve their potential during their time at the school and beyond. They promote an environment that fosters achievement in all areas, including sporting and artistic achievement. The successful candidate will therefore be someone who actively promotes extra-curricular activities for pupils of all abilities.

What you will require:
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. QTS)
  • Evidence of good classroom control
  • A commitment to develop the personalities, talents and abilities of all students
  • The ability to be a proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement
  • An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
  • A current DBS registered with the Update Service or willing to obtain one
