History Teacher Needed ASAP!

Reed Education are currently working with a great school on an exciting new role in the Newham area.

Starting ASAP, the school are looking for an outstanding History teacher to join them on a long-term basis, with a view of becoming permanent.

  • Strong and Supportive History department

The Role:
  • To plan and teach History lessons to classes in years 7 to 11 that follow the agreed Departmental schemes of work and Department and Academy teaching guidelines.
  • There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to get involved with various extra-curricular activities
  • To keep abreast of the relevant GCSE specifications and examination requirements
  • To use class and department assessment data to check the progress of pupils and, where necessary, to plan and implement academic interventions in accordance with Department and schools’ practice and policy.
  • To comply with Teachers standards
  • Attended team and staff meetings

What you will need:
  • You will need to have QTS
  • NQTs and experienced teachers welcomed
  • Good Honours degree or equivalent in History or a related subject
  • Strong leadership and creativity skills are preferred as new lesson resources are encouraged within the department
  • You will need to be committed and dedicated to providing engaging lessons to the students
