Working days and hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday

Duties Include:
  • The post holder will support the Performance Team in ensuring that effective and efficient structures are in place ensure that all standards of patient care are met, and associated risk and governance matters are managed.
  • The Performance Manager will provide support in developing an efficient and effective performance management framework that supports operational teams in delivering their local and national performance targets.
  • Support operational teams in reviewing the efficiency and effectiveness of their services in terms of service improvement and delivery of performance standards.
  • Plan and manage the implementation of projects to modernise the performance oversight and management frameworks, and improve operational working practices to allow the organisation to meet its business
    and service delivery plans
  • Support and oversee services in implementing longer term solutions to issues raised, when required. These will range from basic administration issues to more complex approaches requiring the support and agreement of large teams of people and management of projects that deliver change
  • Deal directly with key external stakeholders including NHS-EI, Public Health England, local Commissioners, other external agencies and contractors as required. To contribute to and support any clinical/service related networks
    associated with Performance and Data Services

Experience & Skills required:
  • Significant experience working within and managing in an acute environment
  • Significant experience of performance management
  • strategic or operational management experience
  • A proven record of success in managing operational / strategic change whilst also developing and maintaining the provision of a high quality service, within a clinical setting, with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience of team working and building and maintaining effective working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Fully developing staff potential through facilitating training, development and education initiatives
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and influence
  • Experience in service redesign and project management
  • Demonstrable experience of relationship management with external regulatory bodies
