Job Title: Food Technology Teacher
Salary/ Rate: £100 - £160 per day
Location: Oldham

MILK Education are currently seeking to appoint a Teacher of Food Technology for a large Secondary School in the Oldham area to start Mid-December. The school caters for over 800 pupils aged 11 â€" 16. We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and well qualified Teacher of Food Technology to teach pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role will also involve providing additional cover to other Design Technology subjects such as Textiles.

This post would be great for an NQT or an experienced teacher. You require experience in teaching Food & Nutrition as you will take on Year 11 groups within your timetable. This post will most likely go temp to perm for the correct candidate.

The successful candidate will:
  • Raise achievement levels through motivating and challenging pupils
  • Have drive, enthusiasm and resilience
  • Promote the ethos and school values

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, B.Ed or a BA Hons.
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Have at least 6 months school based experience of working in a UK Secondary School setting.
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
