Are you a secondary History Teacher who is now considering day-to-day supply?

Or are you a NQT in History who is looking to gain more classroom experience in a variety of secondry schools?

Due to a recent need from our partnership schools, we are currently looking to expand on our current cohort of qualified History Teachers to work in our secondary schools that we are working with closely in Stoke-on-Trent.

These roles are predominantly daily supply/cover or can even be short term contracts (with the potential of turning into long term contracts).

The ideal secondary History teacher for this supply role would:
  • Have a desirable proven track record of working with students in both KS3/KS4.
  • Be a confident communicator, an excellent motivator, and can build good rapport with students.
  • Hold the relevant teaching history qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with a UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) and/or Newly Qualified Teaching (NQT) status.
  • Deliver exciting and engaging History lessons using your own initiative and have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

Academics are a leading national education agency that specialises in the recruitment of permanent, long term and daily supply teachers and support staff. As an Academic's History Teacher you will have a dedicated consultant who will support you with your career and who will give you access to a variety of flexible opportunities, all at great rates of pay.
