Hays Education are seeking Supply Teachers to start immediately for schools in the Wigan and surrounding areas

Your new company
Hays Education are the leading recruiter for the Education sector nationally and with a strong presence in the Wigan and surrounding areas, we are currently experiencing a huge demand for supply teachers locally. Hays work with primary schools across the Wigan, Chorley, Ormskirk and Skelmersdale areas and these are both mainstream and SEND schools.

Your new role
Joining Hays as a supply teacher, you will be responsible for teaching planned work to classes of between 25 and 35 primary aged pupils, whether this be in a mainstream or SEND setting. The work is usually planned and prepared by class teachers and you are then responsible for the delivery of work, ensuring all pupils are kept on task and that all classroom behaviour is appropriate - you may also be required to mark and assess pupils work. Working as a supply teacher, you can work as little as 1 day a week and can also secure longer term work if you wish which can continue for a full academic year.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing a role as a supply teacher for Hays, you must have Qualified Teacher Status and live locally, with the ability to commute to different local schools. You will be available to start immediately and will be available ongoing for a minimum of 1 day a week.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate and will have an attractive work life balance as won't be required to complete work outside the classroom and you can also change your availability from week to week. You will further develop your own skills and experience by working in different local schools, therefore learning new strategies and ways of teaching. Finally, you will have a dedicated Hays Consultant who will support you and you will gain access to our Hays Education Hub App, as well as joining our Hays Refer a Friend Scheme where you could be entitled to receiving £250 in high street vouchers.
