Principal Resourcing are currently seeking to recruit a qualified teacher of Art and Design for one of our partner academies in Wakefield. The position is full-time, teaching across KS3, 4 and 5. The position is due to commence in the New Year and will run until the Easter holidays.

The successful candidate will be joining a team of three teachers who work hard to ensure that their students achieve above average results within their coursework and final projects. They are looking for an individual who is not only creative and energetic, but able to keep students on track with their projects.

The role will consist of teaching Fine Art and Applied Art throughout the age ranges. The ability to teach Graphic Design would also be desirable but is not essential. NQTs are welcome to apply for this post.

Within the role you are required to:
  • Plan and deliver high standards of teaching and learning outcomes
  • Teach up to KS5 Art & Design
  • Engage even the most reluctant of learners
  • Offer extra-curricular activities to complement the curriculum

What you require:
  • A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A relevant BA/MA degree in the Arts or a related subject
  • Previous experience of teaching to KS5
