A Housing Association working with Morgan Hunt are looking for a Legal Disrepair Case Manager for a 6 month temporary assignment.

The main job purpose for the Legal Disrepair Case Manager is:
  • To assist in the Management of Legal Disrepair cases in line with the Legal Disrepair Protocol.
  • Liaise with solicitors and residents in order to resolve outstanding repair /claims through to resolution.
  • To assist in identifying trends through analysis and reporting.
  • To liaise and assist the contractors in completing repairs to a high standard, including visiting residents at their homes.
  • To participate actively in, taking responsibility for ensuring the delivery of service.
  • Working closely with the Legal Team, Surveying and contractors to ensure effective communication and liaison arrangements are followed.
  • To assist in identifying issues requiring a management input to ensure that effective solutions are developed and implemented.

Essential Skills a Legal Disrepair Case Manager must have is:
  • Legal Disrepair experience
  • Sound knowledge of section 11 of the housing law
  • Experience of working in a legal team or field
  • Excellent communication skills including written, oral and interpersonal
  • Excellent IT skills
  • An understanding of project management skills
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Ability to convey important messages through good presentation skills (oral, numerical and written)

This role is working from home but you may be required in the first 2 weeks to go into the offices for training.
